The challenge of combining a real car with the monopoly board game seemed relatively straight forward at first glance. But I wanted to take it a step further and make it more difficult by positioning the car in such a way that would reflect the monopoly cards and the dice if it were a real scene. This required the original street reflections to be removed first of course.
I felt quite pleased with the final composition. I remember lying on a beach somewhere, contemplating on the deep blue of the ocean and thought wouldn't it be wonderful if you could scoop up a handful of ocean and see it as the blue liquid that it appears to be. And it was that thought that gave me the inspiration to create an image of what it might look like if the ocean was actually made of blue liquid. I dont think it gets much more surreal than that.
